Aoda 710015 : Rapid Rotation

I. INTRO : COLORS AND PACKAGING

This yoyo comes in several colors which, so far that I know of, are : Yellow, Tosca Green and Pink (unfortunately I never have the pink one).

In the package, it comes together with cotton string uninstall to the yoyo. Instruction on how to install the string is available on the backside of the packaging.

II. PARTS

1. Halves, made of flex plastic (PS or PP but not ABS). Solid color. We throw it several time hitting some surface (asphalt, coneblock, concrete, etc) without any significance damage on the plastic. It’s pretty durable. The shape look similar to any butterfly-shapped yoyo in the market. It has wide-rounded back part on the halves. It has a pog on the caps which I believe can be replace with your own design (I will confirm about this later).

2. Bearing, it uses large bearing similar to yoyojam large bearing size but with smaller depth. The bearing protector / wall is removed on both side, which has positive side (easy for cleaning and inspection) as well as negative side (debris will be easy to get inside the bearing). The bearing sits on the plastic grove and not touching the axle. It’s standard bearing, not concave yet. To remove from the groove, you need a long-nose pliers to take it out since it’s lubricated …

3. The response system, uses a pair of white silicon pad (silicone recess system) on both halves which are a bit thin. They sit on a well-deep groove on the halves. If it wears-off, it can be replaced with silicone sealant, commonly use for glass-aquarium making.

4. Axle, is made of steel with chrome color. It has threaded on both side and unthreaded part on the center

5. String, is made of cotton material. It will worn out pretty quick after several throw. Change with the new one or with better poly-cotton string for long time use.

III. GEOMETRY

1. Halves size diameter

2. Pog size

3. Side to side distance

4. Gap

5. Bearing

6. Weight

7. Sleeper time is a round 30 seconds at best (throw till it stops) straight from the box.

IV. SUMMARY

With a durable plastics material,  small gap between halves and large bearing inside, we can conclude that this yoyo is perfect for :

  1. Beginners, who is start to play yoyo and would like to learn how to make a perfect throwor
  2. Anyone who tend to hit the surface quite a lot (don’t use it tho hit your fellow, dude)
  3. Anyone who declares Looping-Maniacs and love fast action
  4. General Looping technique

V. UPGRADABILITY

  1. Concave bearing replacement
  2. Semi (poly-cotton) string replacement
